BETHEL, AK – The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of Business Development (BD) has determined Akiak Facility Systems, LLC meets the 8(a) BD Program’s social disadvantage requirement and continues to be eligible to participate in the 8(a) BD Program, including the award of contracts under 8(a) BD Program authority.
The participant has either substantiated the relevant owner(s) are socially disadvantaged in
compliance with 13 CFR 124.103(c) or is an entity-owned small business and therefore is not required to do so (15 USC 637(a)(4)). The determination applies to any 8(a) joint venture for which the above-named participant is the managing venturer.
